Ohio State receives one year bowl ban. The NCAA hit Ohio State with a one year bowl ban, put the Buckeyes on probation through December 19, 2014 and reduced football scholarships from 85 to 82 through the 2014-15 academic year. Still considering all that USC got this seems pretty light. It's also curious to a lot of people that Ohio State is allowed to have two coaching staffs. The current leftover staff from this season is there to coach for the bowl game while Urban Meyer's staff is allowed to go out and recruit - obviously something other programs aren't able to do to the same extent since they have to practice for their bowl games. So let's not get carried away thinking anything bad happened to them. The only way this slap on the wrist means anything is if Ohio State goes undefeated and should be in the national championship game - since they won't be able to based off of the bowl ban.

WVU recruiting news: Not much at the moment. Had heard Tavon Rooks may decide today (Wednesday) but we'll see if it actually happens. Deaysean Rippy did indeed visit over the weekend, as I said the other day but there's no word on what he will do yet. Although as Eerinsider.com points out it appears the WVU staff wants an answer soon or else they'll move on. See the link below for more information.
